Flexible MiniPCI Riser (Riser) was designed to extend motherboard MiniPCI bus. The Riser includes a MiniPCI Host card, MiniPCI Adapter board and a PCI Express Flat cable.
The MiniPCI Host card connects to the motherboard MiniPCI connector via flat PCI Express 12 inch cable. PCI express flat cable provides flexible connection between motherboard MiniPCI connector (and MiniPCI expansion board). The motherboard MiniPCI connector can be on the top or bottom side of the motherboard.
The power for MiniPCI add-in card (5V and 3.3V) is supplied via 124-pin MiniPCI connector. The MiniPCI Adapter board has standard 4-pin “Floppy drive” power connector for getting power (5V) from standard ATX power supply or any external power source.
MiniPCI Adapter board has 3 mounting holes for its mechanical fixation inside the computer chassis (embedded computer).
