Flexible MiniPCI Bus Adapter (Adapter) designed to expand modern motherboard (ATX, mini ATX etc.) with a limited number of PCI or PCI Express connectors. It allows connecting up-to 2 32-bit PCI expansion boards to the motherboard MiniPCI connector placed on the bottom or on the top surface of the motherboard.
Adapter includes PCI backplane, MiniPCI Interface board and Flat PCI Express Cable.
PCI backplane has 2 32-bit PCI slots for plug-in 32-bit PCI expansion board. MiniPCI Interface board connects to the motherboard standard 124-pin MiniPCI connector. Flat PCI Express cable (12 inches) is used for connection between Interface board and PCI backplane and provides flexible connection between PCI expansion boards and the motherboard.
The power (12V, 5V, 3.3V) for each PCI expansion board is supplied via 32-bit female PCI connector. The PCI backplane has standard 4-pin "Hard drive" power connector for getting power (12V and 5V) from standard ATX power supply or any external power source.
2 slot PCI backplane has 4 mounting holes for it’s mechanical fixation inside the computer chassis (embedded computer).
