Flexible x1 PCI Express to PCI Bus Adapter (Adapter) designed to convert x1 PCI Express bus into two 32-bit PCI buses. It allows connecting up-to 2 32-bit PCI expansion boards to the motherboard x1/x4/x8/x16 PCI Express connector.
Adapter includes PCI backplane, x1 PCI Express interface board and Flat PCI Express Cable.
PCI backplane has 2 32-bit PCI slots for plug-in 32-bit PCI expansion board. x1 PCI Express Interface board connects to the motherboard PCI Express connector. Flat PCI Express cable (12 inches) is used for connection between Interface board and PCI backplane and provides flexible connection between PCI expansion boards and the motherboard.
The power (12V, 5V, 3.3V) for each PCI expansion board is supplied via 32-bit female PCI connector. PCI backplane has standard 4-pin "Hard drive" power connector for getting power (12V and 5V) from standard ATX power supply or any external power suppply.
2 slot PCI backplane has 4 mounting holes for it’s mechanical fixation inside the computer chassis (embedded computer).
x1 PCI Express Interface board can be retained inside chassis by using PCI Express add-in card retainer (Patent Pending). This card retainer prevents interface board from wiggling and can hold PCI express board without bracket.
