USB-FXO ADAPTER IS THE FIRST PRODUCT IN AMFELTEC’S NEW TELECOM-ORIENTED PIRANHA USB ADAPTERS(TM) FAMILY

CANADA, Markham, January 28, 2014 – Amfeltec Corporation, a leading provider of complex and innovative solutions for the world’s diverse electronics markets, announced today that the first product of Amfeltec’s Piranha USB Adapter family, the USB-FXO Adapter, is now in full production.
The Piranha family will consist of three initial products: the USB-FXO adapter will be joined by the USB-FXS, and the USB-PA (Public Announcement system) adapters.

The Piranha USB-FXO adapter is miniature in physical appearance, and is designed to be a part of the cabling: it is installed between the PSTN jack in your wall, and the appropriate USB port of your PBX. The latest Asterisk® software is respected: the USB-FXO has native support for DAHDI 2.8.0. The adapter also features a fail-over function, to ensure that a backup analog telephone is readily available for use in the event of an electricity problem or your phone system’s malfunction.
