WatchDog Timer is the device designed to automatically reboot computer, embedded appliance, or IoT device in case of hovering or system crash. The device is connected to motherboard via an x1 PCI Express interface and connects to system RESET signal for rebooting system.
The duration of the RESET signal and the Timer period are configurable by using software utility under Windows, Linux or MacOS operation systems. Operation temperature range is from -40°C to +85°C.
WatchDog Timer is 2.6” x 1.8” and fit in to 1U servers. It retained inside chasse without bracket by using Amfeltec PCI Express retainer (US Pat. #9,996,475).
