USB Batteryless System Logger

The USB Batteryless System Logger is a unique device designed to support computer systems located in the office or in the field. Use cases include data servers, embedded appliances, or IOT devices, which are required to operate 24/7 without interruption.

This Logger is part of PocketShark Family(TM), dedicated for system monitoring and crash recovery. It can record system and environmental information from OS and internal sensors in the Logger’s non-volatile memory during normal operation and in the event of a system crash or power outage. This Logger has multiple internal sensors that measure ambient temperature, air pressure, humidity, shock and vibration. It is powered from the system interface (USB) without any internal battery or external power source. Recorded information can be restored later at any time on any computer. Batteryless Logger operating temperature is from -40°C up to +85°C. It does not require any service or maintenance during its lifetime (over ten years).

Using Batteryless System Logger, any electronic device can have system and environmental information recorded for analysis even if the host device has no storage resources (hard drive or writable flash memory) in the event of a system crash or power outage. The fault diagnostic process for such systems becomes significantly faster and cost-effective, and, as a result, the Logger increases reliability of the whole system.
