Overview:
- Unique half-height (2U) / half-length PCI Express Gen 4 carrier board for up to eight (8) M.2 Gen 4 modules.
- Easy “Plug & Play” installation, no drivers needed.
- Compatible with any motherboard; doesn’t require motherboard bifurcation.
- x16 or x8 PCIe Gen 4 (16.0 Gbps) upstream connection to the motherboard.
- x4 PCI Express Gen 4 (16.0 Gbps) connection to each of M.2 circuits.
- Supports any type of 2280 M.2 modules (M-key)
- Standard two-slot-wide PCI Express board

This Squid PCIe Gen 4 Carrier board can support up to eight (8) M.2 PCIe SSD (solid state drive) modules, with M-key. The Carrier board supports M.2 (2280; M-key) PCIe Gen 4 SSD modules of any capacity, from any vendor, and in any combination.
The open-concept design of our Squid Carrier Board family allows easy SSD module installation/replacement.
The operating system recognizes each module as an individual hard disk and can combine them as a RAID.
This carrier board is in the form of a two-slot-wide, half-height, and half-length board. It consists of the main board and the daughter board with four M.2 (M-key) circuits for SSD modules located on each board. (All together eight (8) M.2 circuits). M.2 circuits for SSD modules are located on both sides of the main board and daughter board (two circuits) on the top (component) and two on the bottom (soldering side), and an accommodate any M.2 SSD with x4 PCI Express Gen 4 interface (US Pat. 9,996,494; US Pat. 10,664,431).
PCI Express Carrier board is compliant with PCI Express Specification 4.0 and M.2 Specification 3.0.
